I ran out of credits mid-session

Sessions debit credits per action. If your balance is about to hit zero, I warn you before the next paid action runs — you do not silently lose access in the middle of a turn.

Chat sessions

For chat, credits are debited after an ARIA turn completes. If your balance falls below the cost of the next turn, I show a low-balance banner before sending and pause for you to either:

  • Top up from Profile → Billing
  • End the session

Whatever you have already received is preserved. The transcript stays in your Session History and you can resume after topping up.

Voice sessions

Voice mode is different. Credits are debited before each turn runs, because a voice turn is too expensive to speculatively start. The 30-credit floor I require to begin a voice session is intentional padding — about ten turns of headroom.

If your balance still drops below the cost of the next turn during a voice session, the session ends cleanly. Anything spoken before the cut-off is in the transcript.

How to top up

  1. Open Profile → Billing
  2. Pick a credit pack
  3. Complete the Paddle checkout
  4. Credits land in your balance within seconds of the webhook firing

For pack sizes and pricing, see Topping up.

Avoiding the cliff

  • Watch the credit counter in the header. It updates in real time.
  • For heavy voice work, the 2,500-credit and 6,000-credit packs are sized to last.
  • The low-balance notification fires before you hit zero, not after — leave it on under Settings → Notifications.
note

Credits never expire and a failed action gets refunded automatically — see Credits and pricing for the full debit model.
